The Style Diaries | Kos Edition #4

Friday, 28 August 2015

The 4th and final part of my Kos style diary!
This time theres not one particular outfit to show, theres a few pictures of outfits I wore out and about during the day!

This first outfit is one of my favourites, I adore these tribal print shorts with rainbow print tassels, I think they're so unique and interesting! I picked them up from one of my local boutiques but have since seen them here on Romwe!
I paired the shorts with a simple grey crop top which I picked up from H&M for £3, and its also one of the most versatile basics I own. Then of course my Missguided sliders as always, you know the script by now!

On this day I wore some distressed denim shorts from Topshop which I picked up last year, but I'm sure they still stock something similar. Then a simple white crop top also from Topshop, extremely simple but in the heat I didn't want anything crazy, so this outfit was perfect for  strolling round Kos town!

Beauty Confessions Of A Fashion Blogger

Monday, 24 August 2015

I feel like there are allot of misconceptions about fashion bloggers.
One of the main ones being that we share the same obsession with makeup and skincare as beauty bloggers and that we also follow the latest trends in the beauty industry.
Which is completely understandable with the two industries basically running hand in hand, it makes sense doesn't it? Well the truth is I am now a self confessed beauty slob.
I mean don't get me wrong, I love playing and experimenting with makeup, purely because I love the power of it, but I am by no means any beauty expertise, far from it actually.

So here are my beauty confessions! Any beauty bloggers are advised to switch off...now!

#1-

I always forget to take my makeup off. Like always.

#2-

On the rare occasion that I do get round to taking my makeup off, i'll use a face wipe. Yes the dreaded face wipe, not some fancy shmancy cleansing balm. I'm sorry.

#3-

I found makeup products that work for me, and I haven't switched things up in a long time. So I pretty much wear the same look everyday, except my lips though, I'm a lipstick'o'holic.

#4-

I ignore every beauty products sell by date. I didn't even know they had one till a few weeks ago. So yes that means I have had the same MAC powder for over 2 years- it still works though so hey why change it.

#5-

The dreaded cleaning your makeup brushes. I hardly ever do it. I don't think I've cleaned my Sigma F80 in well, a very..very long time. Oops.

What are your beauty confessions?

Thigh High

Thursday, 20 August 2015

I bought my thigh high boots from River Island last winter and absolutely adored them, however I haven't had that much wear out of them in the spring and summer. So I decided whilst summer is just about still here I may as well try and rock them with a summer dress and I love the way it looks! I don't know why I haven't done it sooner if I'm honest!
The dress is from Boohoo, and I lurrrv the boho vibe with the off the shoulder detail and bell sleeves. I'm sure ill still be getting wear out of it into autumn, especially with the boots!

What do you think about the thigh high boot trend?

Vino

Saturday, 15 August 2015

Everybody knows I'm a lipstick'o'holic.
So in prep for A/W15 I decided to start experimenting with deeper berry and purple tones.
One of my personal faves is MAC lipliner in the shade "Vino."
I'm not the biggest fan of MAC lipliners on the whole if I'm honest, I can find them to be quite drying and uncomfortable to wear. However when it comes to a shade like this, you need a long-lasting consistency, drying yes, but its not a shade you wear every single day. So personally I would rather have a drying product which lasts forever on the lips, instead of somethings thats hydrating that will be soon smudged all over your face after 10 minutes. Plus, its not that bad if you pair it with a good lip balm.

Mostly Minimal

Thursday, 13 August 2015

This is by far my new favourite outfit. Its one of those that I want to wear over and over hoping that I won't bump into somebody I saw the day before.. I know you've all done it.
I've been after a simple striped t-shirt dress forever, and I am so happy I found this one in H&M for inly £6! Its such a basic piece that can be the concrete for so many different outfits, day and night. Its definitely a staple in my eyes and I would highly recommend everybody nipping in and picking one up! I think I'm going to have to go back and pick it up in different colours, because in winter you can just add a pair of tights, an oversized knit over the top and a pair of boots, and you've got yourself a perfect winter outfit!

I also picked this camel cape up in H&M for £24.99. It was one of those that I fell in love with but left in the shop, but then after looking round a few other places I couldn't resist and had to go back! Its perfect for autumn, which is fast approaching (scary I know!) Camel is one of my favourite colours anyway, but I loved the rusty undertone of this particular shade, which is very on trend as the 70's carries on into autumn / winter.

Anybody that knows me, knows what a jewellery hoarder I am and that I will basically shove as much jewellery on as possible, looking a little like Phoebe in Friends! I love to have a really minimal outfit which I can then layer on jewellery on top of. I think it adds personality and individuality to an outfit, and adds an edge to a classic chic look.

Pretty much all of my jewellery is from Afflecks Palace in Manchester, apart from the tusk necklace which is from Urban Outfitters!

I hope you enjoyed this post!
